Job Title: Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) Field Supervisor – PRN/Hourly, W-2 Employee

Position Description:

The Home Care RN Field Supervisor is a W-2 employee responsible for providing as-needed nursing care, caregiver supervision, training, and client onboarding for Home Helpers NE Baltimore. This flexible, hourly position supports high-quality home care services as business needs arise, in compliance with Maryland state regulations.

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to the Administrator / Executive Director.
Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed in good standing in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in home care or hospital setting.
  • Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Competent in professional nursing principles and required documentation.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with OASIS assessments and documentation.
  • Prior supervisory experience in home care or related settings.
  • Experience administering and supervising infusions preferred (IV therapies, nutrition support).
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review caregiver applications and conduct in-person interviews with candidates.
  • Train and help to orient new caregivers, including in-person and group sessions.
  • Administer medications that Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) cannot (e.g., B12 injections).
  • Onboard and manage high-needs clients, especially those transitioning home from rehab.
  • Conduct client assessments, evaluate clients for home care, and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and support for caregivers, including retraining as needed.
  • Participate in case conferences and collaborate on care planning.
  • Submit clinical notes and progress notes as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
  • Continually improve nursing skills through in-service education and professional development.
  • Perform other job duties as reasonably required.
Schedule & Compensation:

  • Schedule: PRN/as-needed, coordinated in advance with the Administrator. No guaranteed weekly hours; work is consistent but scheduled based on agency needs and mutual availability.
  • Compensation: Hourly rate ($40-$50/hour, commensurate with experience and duties). Mileage reimbursement for travel to client homes.
  • Employment Type: W-2 PRN employee.
Additional Requirements:

  • Must comply with all Home Helpers NE Baltimore policies and procedures.
  • Must complete orientation and demonstrate competency in required skills prior to assignment.
Employment Status:

  • At-will, PRN/as-needed arrangement. Either party may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice, unless otherwise specified in a written contract.
 

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
