Home Helpers of Northeastern Illinois and Barrington is looking for a lead caregiver to add to it's team. For this position we're looking for candidates with 2 years experience as a lead caregiver and drives, clean driving record and has their own vehicle.
*Primary role is start to all cases. New case may start the same day or quickly. First task is to develop a routine and rapport with the family.
.Secondary task is to train regular care giver on their first shift of a new case.
*Secondary role is to fill in for shifts. Open shifts may occur unexpectedly or planned. To ensure reliable coverage to our clients and our Mission; the lead caregiver will be expected to fill in when called. If you are on call but have no scheduled shifts; feel free to plan your day for personal time. However, you have up to 1 hour to report to a case when the office calls you. It is your responsibility to have your phone on you, charged, and with the ability to answer the office's or care coordinator's calls.
If you are unable to work due to sickness or an unexpected event, you must notify the office and your care Manager that your are not available. This will result in no pay for those days requested off. If there is a future event that you wish to be made unavailable without pay, you must notify the office 2 weeks in advance.
.Must be willing to work with male or female clients
.Must be able to work around pets (cats, dogs, birds, etc.)
.Must be able to work anywhere anywhere within our territories serve (Outlying areas of the O'Hare airport and several communities throughout the suburbs')
.Must be wiling to work in a home with cigarette smoke (if necessary)
.Must have the willingness to train, and implement all business operations to maintain Home Helpers Mission statement
The candidate will be guaranteed 30 hours @$20 per week, with any days that go over 6 hours , you will be paid $20 an hour over the 6. It is expected that the candidate to fulfill any and all shifts, whether they be new client starts or fill in for call offs and vacations. You may also be schedule to work in the office if additional assistance is needed. You must always have your phone on and with you. This position is for a weekday lead care giver which is Monday-Friday.
