The In-Home Aide provides hands-on assistance with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) and IADL's (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living) to clients in their home.

Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years experience working in a home care setting
  • Must be able to work 30 - 35 hours per week
  • Must be available for day, evening and weekend shifts
  • Must have valid NC Driver's License and Auto Insurance
  • Personal means of transportation
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be very dependable
  • Must understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care
Job Duties:
  • Maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks, including such duties as preparation of meals, laundry, shopping.
  • Provide hands on assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and eating.
  • Provide client with assistance with self-administration of medications.
  • May assist with monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, temperature, pulse, and respirations (if within scope of practice and delegated by a RN).
  • Report to the Service Supervisor any incidents or problems related to his or her work, immediately.
  • Report any unusual incidents or changes in the client's behavior to the Service Supervisor.
  • Follow the client's assigned plan of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor.
Compensation: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
